After we do something fun, I love to look back through our pics right away. Hubs likes to tease me about this. He says there's the event and then it's an event to look back through the pictures again. That's probably pretty true.
On rare instances, I try to be purposeful about setting the camera down and just being in the moment. That's when I'm so thankful that someone else takes a pic or two. These past two weekends were just such times.
Yesterday was the baby dedication at our church. Northview Church only does this twice a year, and 56 babies were dedicated this time (between three services)! That's a lot of babies.
I love the dedications. Yesterday, the pastor shared that it should be called parents' dedication and baby's blessing. That's a great way to say it. Ever since we knew that Baby Girl was growing inside of me, we have prayed that she would know and love and live her life for the LORD and that she would share His love with others.
During the dedication, the pastor holds each child while three pictures show on the screens and what the parents' have shared about their child is read.

Ellie Kate is a joy to be around. She loves to have all of her parents' attention. She enjoys playing and having her books read to her. She is observant, strong willed and determined.
It's hard to put our love for her into words. When she smiles, her whole face smiles, and we love to make her laugh. We continue to be amazed by what she learns new every day.
Our hopes and dreams for Ellie Kate are that she loves the LORD with all of her heart, soul and mind and that she loves her neighbor as herself. Ellie Kate is very strong willed, and we pray that God will help us to direct her in using that determination for His glory.
We want to participate to show Ellie Kate the importance of having the church community in our lives. We want her to choose Christ and put Him first in her life. We would like the support of the church in guiding and loving her as she grows in her walk with the Lord.
We were so blessed to share this day with all of Baby Girl's grandparents as well as two of her cousins.

By the end, Baby Girl was more than tired. She just leaned on Grampy's chest.
